The off-campus Munich massacre remembrance ceremony was dominated by criticism of the International Olympic Committee for refusing to take even a minute of the official games to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the attack. The speakers, including family members of the victims, say that the IOC is full of throwback European aristocrats who retain a measure of anti-Semitism, and, well, yeah, that's probably the case. When Jacques Rogge, asked if he'd have kept similarly quiet had any other athletes been killed, responded that it was a "very difficult question," that tells you everything you need to know about him and the IOC.
