It's Like When ABA Teams Would Fold In Mid-Season
-
It will not make people like me who have yet to get into MMA when the UFC cancels a title bout nine days before it's scheduled because the champ refuses to fight a substitute opponent. Dana White is slamming light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones for saying no to the late substitution, but it doesn't matter who's right or wrong -- it's a dispute that's more WWE than something you see from a legitimate sport. (Not that traditional boxing is any better, but that's a reason I'm not much for boxing, either; say what you want about your standard team sports, but you won't see the Dallas Cowboys refuse to play the New York Giants for any reason) (USA Today)
