A Little White-Out, A Pen, The Judicious Use Of 'Freakin''....

Parents in one school system are objecting to a science fiction book on their kids' reading list, and at first blush you'd assume that it was the sci-fi that raised their objections, but no: It has the F-word. A lot. 93 times, to be exact. Now, there's two sides to this: It was a ninth-grade class, and ninth graders have heard and know the meaning of that word. On the other hand, 93 times? Did anyone review the book before assigning it? Truth is, the kids won't be hurt by reading that word, but the teachers had to know that parents wouldn't stand for it.
