This research says that even just 75 minutes a week of physical activity can extend your life by almost two years, no matter what weight you start at. And more exercise will add more time. This raises the issue of whether the added time at the end of your life, when life might not be as pleasurable as it was when you were young, is worth the tradeoffs. But I bet that if you ask most elderly people if they'd like a couple of bonus years, they'd say yes. (CBC)
