It's bad enough to be homeless, but it's worse that an overzealous cop arrested this homeless guy for the sin of charging his cell phone at a public park shelter. The cop called it stealing and threw the homeless guy in jail, where he had to spend the night because he couldn't make bail. But the next day, the judge threw the case out. And, really, can you enforce a zero-tolerance policy against some poor homeless guy charging his phone? Hasn't everyone plugged into an outlet at a store, airport, mall, convention center, or other public place to charge a cell phone or power a laptop? (Sarasota Herald Tribune)
