Snitch On Wheels

You've heard about how the government wants "black box" recorders in cars, and how the devices -- which track how fast you're going and how you drive -- are seen by many as an invasion of privacy. What you may not know is that it's likely you already have one. Car makers have been slipping these things in for years. Here's what they record: When you get into a crash or your airbags deploy, they record how fast you were going, whether you slammed the brakes, whether your steering was erratic, that kind of thing, for the last 5 or 10 seconds before impact, and save the information so that investigators can tell whether it was your fault. You okay with that? (AP via WEWS-TV/Cleveland)
