You know a snowstorm is coming, but you have a trip planned for Costa Rica, and your plane is scheduled to leave just before the snow hits. Perfect, right? Not for this plane full of people trying to get out of Toronto: Pearson Airport's de-icing operation had an unspecified "software problem" that slowed them up, meaning that this flight spent over 13 hours on the tarmac and took off 17 hours late. These people were on that plane at 6:30 in the morning and took off at night. No explanation is adequate. (Toronto Star)
