Pack Your Muskets And Get The Hell Out Of Town

Pierce College up in the Valley has canceled an annual Civil War re-enactment because, they say, some neighbors complained. It's unclear what the complaint was about, whether over noise or something else. And while the school told the re-enactors that a handful of homeowners in a nearby homeowners' association complained, the main nearby homeowners association said it wasn't them and he wasn't even aware that there WAS a re-enactment. So, what would you guess it would be? Hmm. (On a personal note, I once lived directly adjacent to Washington Crossing State Park in Pennsylvania, where Washington really did cross the Delaware; we had Revolutionary War and Civil War re-enactments outside our window all the time. Annoying, yes, a little, but it came with the territory) (Los Angeles Daily News)
