Immigration News Cavalcade: We knew that the ICE pre-sequester release of undocumented immigrants let criminals back on the street, but now we know that for sure, with South Florida ICE officials admitting that they let criminals, including some with multiple DUIs, back out on "supervised release," meaning they're loose and a major flight risk. They didn't have to do this, but they were trying to make a political point. People should be outraged, but it's not getting a lot of play in the news. Meanwhile, in North Carolina, they're now giving young illegal immigrants driver's licenses, and they were going to put a pink stripe on the licenses to help distinguish them from other licenses but complaints reduced the difference to the tiny words "no lawful status," and even that was a problem for the advocates. They want people illegally in the country to have the exact same rights as those lawfully here. You okay with that? (Miami Herald; WSOC-TV/Charlotte)
