Rats With Wings, But A Lot Bigger

Value City Furniture in Middletown, NJ is defending itself after destroying the nest and two eggs of two Canada geese who attacked shoppers in the parking lot. Activists are up in arms, although the store got permission from the state Division of Fish and Wildlife to do what it did. Now, here's the thing: As a former resident of a Pennsylvania town where Canada geese would invade every year, take over the park and streets, and deposit piles of green poop everywhere, I have no love for the pests. I don't like when any animal is harmed, but, really, what was the store supposed to do when the birds would attack?
