It's mind-boggling that the Arena Football League let a convicted embezzler on probation (after a repeat offense) buy the Chicago Rush. And he'd FILED FOR CHAPTER 7 A MONTH EARLIER. Did they do ANY checking of this guy before handing him the keys? You know, you pay all your bills, have a pristine credit report, and see what happens when you ask the bank for credit -- they pummel you with requirements and restrictions and stlll say no. This guy waltzes in and buys a football team without any money at all. Now, the team's been taken back by the league, but, still, he managed to get control for a short time, at least. (Deadspin)
