There Are No Revolutionary War Vets Around But We Still Have July 4th Fireworks
-
Beverly, MA canceled its Memorial Day parade because they said there weren't enough veterans. They say the World War II, Korean War, and some Vietnam War vets are too old to march, and younger vets are too busy. Question: Why do you even need vets to march? Isn't the holiday to honor those who died in the service of their country? Can't local people, whether or not they served, march to honor the deceased? (WBZ-TV/Boston)
