Everything's Offensive To Someone
-
Oklahoma's license plates -- the standard ones -- have a Native American theme, showing an Apache warrior shooting an arrow in the sky, A Methodist minister is suing, claiming that it offends his religious beliefs. The state insists that the plates do not depict anything religious, although the arrow thing is part of a rainmaking ritual involving a prayer for rain. But is that really "religion"? Is one guy's interpretation enough to make it "offensive"? And should license plates say anything at all, ever, other than a state name and number? (AP via Fox News)
