This Wasn't Even An Issue Before Those Damn Hippies Came Along

A board of education has approved a teacher dress code over the vehement objection of the teachers and their union. The dress code: banning blue jeans, faded jeans, and shorts. Now, I will admit that my business attire involves jeans and t-shirts and sneakers (a sports jacket if I have to be dressy), but I work in my house and, occasionally, in Hollywood, where "dressy" means "no holes in your jeans." Teachers really should dress to be respected. That they're suing over this tells you a lot about the priorities of these teachers. (WBOY-TV/Clarksburg, WV)
