The Longer They Stall, The More She'll Eventually Get
-
If you've been following the story of the woman in Ohio whose house was wrongfully foreclosed upon and her stuff taken by the bank (with whom she had no loan and no relationship -- they foreclosed on the wrong house), the bank is now saying that the reason it hasn't compensated her for their mistake is that they merely disagree on how much she should get. And they once receipts for everything they took. Under the circumstances, I would say "anything she wants" would be the equitable way to solve this. They screwed up, so they shouldn't be the ones making the decision as to what she should get for her trouble. if this goes in front of the jury, they're going to have to pay a lot more than $50,000 that she's asking for.
