I Guess Jersey Will Just Have To Try Harder
-
The most corrupt state, based on corruption convictions? Louisiana, and that's no surprise -- that's a tradition there. But number two? No, not New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or California. No, it's North Dakota. South Dakota's third. Then Kentucky, Alaska, Montana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Finally, New Jersey comes after that. South Carolina's the least corrupt, based on these numbers. But I wonder: is it because more corrupt politicians just don't get convicted in those other states? Is it more that they don't get away with it in the "most corrupt" states? (Business Insider; Thanks to Jim Walsh at KLXX/Bismarck for the link)
