You could dismiss this article about people who have jobs in New York but have to live in homeless shelters as bleeding heart material, but it's a real problem that might get worse everywhere -- when a city needs people to do low-wage jobs but doesn't have affordable housing for those people. If you're making below the lowest monthly rent, how are you supposed to live there? And if you can't live there, who will do those jobs? (New York Times)
