I'm Fine With Naming The Entire State After Him
-
There's only one person opposing the idea of naming a street near Dodger Stadium after Vin Scully:Vin Scully. He issued a statement saying that the mayor of Los Angeles has more important things to do, and if they're going to name the street after somebody, it should be after Walter O'Malley or Peter O'Malley, not him. That's admirably humble, but in this case, maybe his desires should be ignored. They should name practically everything in Los Angeles after Vin Scully. There's nobody more deserving around here, with the possible exception of Lou Zamperini, and there's already the Torrance airport named after him. (Los Angeles Times)
