Hopeless. Just Hopeless

So, why did somebody shoot 13 people in a Chicago park last week? Apparently, the two guys charged with the shooting, which included a bullet to a three-year-old child's head, was an act of revenge for a graze wound that one of the suspects got a few hours earlier. There's so much wrong here that it's hard to even know where to start, but two idiots, 20 and 21 years old, looking for revenge, well, that's one place we can look. A 3-year-old child being out after 10 o'clock at night is another. Gangs -- the alleged shooters and the victims were members of rival gangs -- are another. And, meanwhile, Chicago has among the toughest gun laws in the country, making it very difficult for people to buy guns legally within the city. Yet somehow, the number of shootings is out of control. (Chicago Sun-Times)
