You're Going There At Your Own Risk
-
An 85-year-old American, a Korean War vet, is being detained in North Korea for unknown reasons, and his family wants him released. It's been a month. But shouldn't he have known that you can't just go to North Korea to visit and expect that they'll just let you in and out? There are all kinds of restrictions on travel there, they're a dictatorship, there are no diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Pyongyang... why would you GO there? His son says he thinks North Korea will let him go after they realize that all they have is an "elderly traveler, a grandfather with a heart condition." That presumes that they treat people well, which they don't. You don't go as a tourist to a totalitarian country and expect them to be nice and friendly to you. (AP via Fox News)
