Haven't Had A Soda In Years. Don't Really Miss It
-
There are artificial sweeteners, but, let's face it, they suck -- they all taste like chemicals. But PepsiCo and a biotech firm called Senomyx are trying a different route with a different chemical: They're developing an ingredient that would fool your taste buds into thinking they sense more sugar than they do, letting the soda maker reduce sugar by as much as half. If it works, that is. People aren't drinking as much soda as they used to, so soda makers are kind of panicky about this. Will you try it? (Advertising Age)
