The Bright Side Of Our Broken Furnace - No Bedbugs
-
You COULD try freezing bedbugs to death, which they used to think was pretty effective. Unfortunately, it's not that effective. They can survive for a few days in the cold. Oh, sure, eventually, they'll die, but freezing your home for several days is hardly practical. Still, you CAN take something like a blanket or small object infested with bedbugs, put it in a Ziploc bag, and freeze it for two to four days and it'll work. But if you were thinking of just turning the thermostat down, be aware that you'd need to drop the temp to 3.2 degrees Fahrenheit for 80 hours to see results. (NBC News)
