He'll Always Be Her Little Boy
-
When does a parent's responsibility end for her child's actions? That's the question raised by a lawsuit by one of the victims of the psychiatric facility shooting in Pittsburgh over a year ago: the suit is against the gunman's mother, alleging that she should have done more to stop him. But what could she have done? She did have him involuntarily committed twice, she was in touch with his doctors, but the suit says that she should have been more closely controlling him. But he's schizophrenic, and an adult. How can you make a parent control her adult offspring? (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)
