Mmmm, Light, Refreshing, Sweet Carcinogen

The caramel coloring they use in sodas can potentially cause cancer. Consumer Reports says that two sodas exceed the amount considered dangerous, one being Malta Goya and the other being Pepsi One. Here's how much we're talking about: Coke has 4.3 micrograms in a 12-ounce can. Dr. Pepper has 10.1. Pepsi One has 43.5 micrograms. (Malta Goya, a nonalcoholic malt drink, has 352.5!) Here's the fun part: Pepsi objects to the tests because it says that people, on average, drink only a third of a can of diet soda a day. Really? Do you just drink a third of a can of ANYTHING?
