Wow, MUCH Better Than 'The Cat In The Hat'

This Sydney Morning Herald blog post talks about children's first exposure to porn and how it can sort of scar you for life. I guess, and you don't want to, like, hand kids hardcore porn, because that's sick. But kids DO encounter it, sometimes accidentally, sometimes by curiosity, and how to handle that is, I suppose, an issue. So... when did you first see it? I remember it vividly, myself - I was 7, I was wandering in a newsstand in Montreal, they had a stack of Playboys on the floor, nobody was watching, and I opened it and looked at the centerfold. And it was nice, and that was it. I didn't grow up a porn consumer, it didn't scar me, it was just, oh, that's what women look like without clothes, cool, good to know, file away for future reference. And then my dad saw me and grabbed me away from there, of course. (Essential Kids/Sydney Morning Herald)
