You Want Sweat-Soaked Clothing? I Got Plenty, Tell Me Where To Send It
-
A lawsuit alleges that the New York Giants and Eli Manning passed off non-game-worn uniforms and equipment as game-worn on the memorabilia market. The suit claims that the "forgeries," including a helmet at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, were passed off so that the players could keep the real things themselves. The suit even claims that the team's dry cleaner was told to "intentionally damage" jerseys to make them look game-worn. Now, I'm a sports fan and I have some memorabilia, but I never quite got the game-worn thing. I really don't care if a jersey was actually worn on the field, and, really, why do you want something impregnated with some other guy's sweat and stuff? (New York Post)
