Heartwarning News From The Old Homestead, or The Douchebag Report
-
I used to live on the Main Line, the generally affluent suburbs of Philadelphia that run up the Paoli Local train tracks, and my apartment was right next door to an expensive prep school, the Haverford School (unrelated to my alma matter, the nearby college of the same name). The prep school was a school for rich prep brats, so it's especially entertaining that two grads of that place are accused of leading a drug trafficking ring that specialized in cornering the market on pot sales to public high school students at the nearby Lower Merion (Kobe Bryant's school!), Harriton, Conestoga, and Radnor High Schools, all of which had plenty of rich kids, too. Spoiled is a good word for them, actually. Whole buncha them got arrested in a big bust that's making national headlines. They had a very organized, well-oiled business machine, because, well, that's how they rolled. And, best, the two alleged ringleaders? Lacrosse players. Because OF COURSE THEY WERE LAXERS. (I know, I sound like a disgruntled, poorer townie. Well, yeah.) (Philadelphia Inquirer)
