I'll Miss The Papers, But They're Really A Waste Of Paper Now
-
La Presse has been a major French-language daily newspaper in Montreal for 130 years. But the company's manager confirmed a projection from a couple of years ago and said that they are going to stop printing the paper and go totally online, and that day could come as soon as 2018, when their contract with a printer expires. We've seen the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and Ann Arbor News do it, and many of the Newhouse/Advance papers like the New Orleans Times Picayune and Birmingham News do it. So... how long do you give printed papers? (CBC)
