When I was in school in New Jersey back in the Jurassic era, we did not have air conditioning in the schools, meaning that for a few weeks near the end of classes and maybe in the first week of the Fall semester, it was pretty brutal. But we survived. Today, with school in New Jersey extended due to the harsh winter, they're wondering how they can make it through the end of June without air conditioning in the schools. They're thinking, well, we gotta tough it out. And that's what we did. Are kids, and adults as well, softer than we used to be? (South Jersey Times)
