Maybe I'll Just Sit Out There After Sunset
-
I did not know that some beaches, like the Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand beaches, ban tents and canopies, but allow umbrellas, even when you have to cluster the umbrellas to make a virtual tent. What's the difference? Well, the city says the umbrellas are easier to remove in an emergency, but, really, they're the same, just more awkward. And since doctors insist we not sit directly in the sun to broil and get skin cancer, what do you do if you want to sit on the beach? Why not a tent or canopy? You need the shade.
