Doesn't Matter, Though. They're Still Going To Miss The Playoffs

It seemed an obvious thing once Mike D'Antoni quit that Byron Scott would be the next Lakers coach, but they dragged their feet and went through the draft without a coach and now, three months later, who are they finalizing a deal with for the coaching job? Byron Scott. This is like buying a car, only slower. You know you want the car, the dealer knows you want it, you both know the price that'll get it done, yet you have to go back and forth and back and forth before you arrive at a deal, and in the meantime you have to wait for the car and the dealer has to wait for your money. It's all unnecessary. So's this. Just get a deal done already, we know it's happening. (ESPN)
