I Think I Saw This On 'Diners, Drive-Ins And Dives'

Poorly sourced story from China appearing in a London tabloid? Why, certainly, here you go: A chef making a dish made from cobra meat allegedly got bitten by the snake's severed head, 20 minutes AFTER it was cut off, which happened, assuming that the story is accurate (a major leap of faith), because snake's heads can keep going for up to an hour after being cut off. The video with this story shows another chef preparing a meal by cutting off a snake's head, and the parts keep moving. They're reflexive action, the experts say, so it's perfectly possible for a snake head to bite and inject venom even after being chopped off. So in case you're considering making snake stew, beware.
