Next Time, Lose AMERICAN Money
-
It wasn't long ago that high-powered Hollywood agent Jeff Berg left ICM to start his own agency, Resolution, and with great fanfare he opened with 50 agents and staffers lured away from the competition. And now, the new agency is folding. Why? Apparently, his funding was from a Chinese firm that promised a lot of money for the business and reportedly didn't come through. And that apparently is a danger when relying on Chinese capital to fund your business: you're not guaranteed much. The other topic is whether to take a leap of faith and join a new business with no guarantees of success. Have you ever been tempted by a job at a startup? Have you taken one? How did it go?
