You Can't Outrun Anything Anymore

A politician is found to have made a racist, homophobic speech 20 years ago. Is it fair game now? Once a racist homophobe, always a racist homophobe? A Jersey City politician says that a speech he made as a 25-year-old back in 1995 isn't an issue now because he's a different person now. Back then, he said all white people have "a little Hitler in them," used anti-gay slurs, and even called the Pope the Antichrist. Can someone change? What if they don't mention it until a newspaper reports about it -- is the lack of remorse until called on it an issue? (Jersey Journal)
