You Don't Want To Feel Shame? Don't Fight Over A TV
-
But hold on, here's a columnist who believes that these Black Friday riot videos are how rich people shame poor people, and he insinuates it's racist, because many of the videos feature poor minority shoppers. However, it also seems like it's the same folks shooting and posting the videos, so it would seem that many poor minority folks are as appalled by the behavior of the shoppers in those videos as anyone else. The columnist blames society and retailers for this, but, you know, nobody's holding a gun to anyone's head making them fight over a lightly-discounted TV set. Does laughing or tsk-tsking at these scenes make you feel superior or a little judgemental or what? (Washington Post)
