A couple of teens invented a microfiber wipe that attaches to your phone or tablet for convenience, named it HypeWipes, and dad did the trademark search, registered it, and they were off to the races, selling their invention. And now they're being sued for a million dollars by a company with a trademark for "Hype-Wipes," with a hyphen. And the plaintiff is playing hardball, threatening to sue the kids' school if they sell the invention at fundraisers. The problem was the trademark search and the Patent and Trademark Office approving the second mark. There SHOULD be a way for these to co-exist, but lawyers are involved, so don't expect that.
