I Spend Most Of The Time In The Checkout Lane Looking At The Total Price Go Up
-
I'm kinda of two minds about the Ottawa grocery store clerk, a guy, who's battling the store over their ban on pigtails. He has... pigtails. He's expressing his gayness, he says. Here's my conflict: I think an employer has the right to institute dress codes, however ridiculous, especially for public-facing positions. The employer should be able to decide what face to present to the customers. On the other hand, a male clerk with wacky pigtails is... harmless. Maybe even amusing. If I'm a customer, I don't care what his hair looks like, as long as it isn't in the food. So, I guess the bottom line for me is, let him do his hair how he wants. (CBC)
