Sometimes You Rip Off The Band-Aid, And Sometimes They Rip It Off For You

A small town pharmacy in New Jersey closed so suddenly that the employees didn't know until they got calls saying "don't come to work." No other notice, no explanation, the owner's nowhere to be found, and there's a sign in the window saying that the prescriptions were all transferred to a Walgreen's. And the employees say that business was good and they had no inkling. Have you ever worked someplace that shut down (or, for radio, changed its format and fired the staff) with zero warning?
