And If You Don't Work 24/7, Someone Else Will
-
Awkward: At the service for Lisa Colagrossi, the WABC-TV/New York reporter who died of a brain hemorrhage after doing a report, her mother confronted her notoriously tough boss and charged the boss with working her daughter to death. Someone stepped in to defuse the situation by getting the news director out of there, but if you have a tough boss who demands that you work and work and work and work and work, you can understand why the reporter's mom felt that way. Some bosses and jobs DO destroy your life. On the other hand, nobody forces you to do that job -- you CAN quit and CAN look for someone better to work for. Besides, some folks just work hard no matter what the boss says. (New York Post)
