Major export from Philadelphia: cheesesteaks, water ice, and Wawa. See, someone's realized that you can take something that's beloved in one locality and franchise it and expand it elsewhere and.... well, sometimes it works, like Wawa in Florida or Rita's Water... er, Italian Ice across the country (try the custard, and sometimes it doesn't. Other cities have that export thing happening; I was in Phoenix and saw a Portillo's that looked just like the Chicago dog emporium in Chicago, and there are Culver's in Arizona just like in the upper Midwest serving up Butterburgers, and Whataburger's there, too. Texas got In-N-Out. What from your area should be nationwide, and what do you want to import? (AP via Philly.com)
