The end of the Washington Capitals–New York Islanders playoff series also means the end of Nassau Coliseum, and I think I'll talk about it here before, but it's kind of sad. The place has been a dump practically since it opened, but the sightlines were good - I've sat in the last row for hockey and it wasn't too high up -- and it just seems weird that the Islanders are not going to play on what we call Long Island anymore (although Brooklyn is technically on the island).
