HSBC, the UK-based bank, has fired an undisclosed number of employees after they made a mock ISIS beheading video as part of a team-building exercise. Now, it's true that the video really doesn't mean anything in the larger context -- it's meant as a joke, it wasn't real, and it was mocking ISIS, not supporting it -- but, really, how do supervisors see this happening and not say, you know, this will look REALLY bad if it ever gets out (and it WILL get out)? How do you get to a position of authority and not have the brains to step in and say, guys, let's not do this? (BBC)
