Like It'll Be Less 'Onerous' A Year From Now
-
The restaurant industry, led by pizza chains, has managed to get the federal government to delay the requirement for calorie counts on menus by a year, because... well, because they don't want to have to do it, although their excuse is that it's "onerous" and for pizza places, most people order on the phone or online anyway. I've always thought calorie counts on menus sucks the joy out of eating out a little, but because I also have to watch what I eat in order to fit into my clothes, I've ended up appreciating the ability to know what the nutrition in various menu items is even as I curse it for making things like fries or dessert off-limits.
