Nobody Goes There Anymore, It's Too Crowded (H/T Yogi Berra)

The New York Post headline says "Montauk clamps down on hipsters having sex in public," but that's just the provocative part of a larger issue: what to do when your sleepy town becomes a popular party town. the great thing about Montauk has always been that it's not like the Hamptons; it's all the way out at the end of the fork, and it's really just a fishing town, with real people as opposed to celebrities and wannabes. Now, the local bars and restaurants are packed with the kind people who used to stop a few miles earlier, and the town is trying to get a handle on what to do about it. So, what do you do if your town or neighborhood becomes trendy and it threatens to drive out what made the area a good place to live in the first place? (New York Post)
