You'll Be Forgiven For Not Knowing Indoor Football's Still Around
-
The Arena Football League has folded the Las Vegas Outlaws and New Orleans VooDoo on the eve of the playoffs and cancelled Las Vegas' playoff appearance. That's not a good sign for the league, not that it hasn't had its share of teams folding. But Las Vegas, which was in its third attempt at Arena Football this season, was going to make the playoffs with a 5-12-1 record, and that's also pathetic. For the last game, the Outlaws drew an announced 4,114, but just 500 paid. Can we call it now and say that indoor, small field football just isn't going to work? (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
