The Passion Pit Is Back
-
So, the drive-in theater is dead, is it? Tell that to the owners of this Massachusetts drive-in, who say business is better than ever. They get nice attendance with first-run movies and a $25-per-car policy - three people in your car and you're saving over the price of tickets at an indoor theater - plus a healthy dose of nostalgia. The latter's the big thing for me -- indoor theaters have a lot of advantages, like air conditioning, comfortable seats (the Regal near me is now all-recliners, and they and the Arclight let you reserve specific seats), and better projection and sound, but there's something about remembering seeing "A Hard Day's Night" at the Paramus Drive-In in the late Summer of 1964....
