Another Piece Of Your Childhood Dashed To Bits

The murder and involuntary manslaughter charges against wrestling great Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka over his girlfriend's 1983 death is both an incredible cold case story and it also makes you wonder why the case went cold in the first place. After all, Snuka admitted to pushing his girlfriend earlier in the day that she died, and then he changed his story. He was the only person of interest. So why didn't they... what? Vince McMahon attended the cops' follow-up interview? Interesting. Snuka has always denied being involved, although he'd been previously charged with assaulting the same woman four months earlier and he lost a $500,000 wrongful death case to her family but never paid because he claimed to be broke. Nothing about this case seemed right from the beginning, so why did it drag out for decades before the local paper decided to probe a little? (Morning Call, Allentown)
