Does it seem to anyone else that we've had a LOT of snake stories lately? And I'm not talking about that guy with the 18-inch penis, either. I mean like this story in which an exotic pet rescue home lost an 8-foot king cobra that escaped near a school, which raises the question of why there's a place like that in proximity to anyone and how a snake could just up and leave. And then there's the woman who came home in Ventura County's Oak Park to find a gigantic rattlesnake in her house. Or the dip in Beaumont, Texas who lost his 6-foot boa constrictor and is now searching for it; did he NEED a pet boa? Or the folks who bought a home in Dundas, Ontario and found the boa constrictor the previous owners' kid left behind? Was that included in the purchase price? Or the bar in Lockport, New York where patrons thought they saw a long rubber snake, until it moved? Did they think they'd just had one too many? And I didn't even get to the snake that bit the guy taking a selfie with it, or countless stories in the last few weeks about snakes biting or nearly biting kids all over the place. They're coming to get us. (WFTV/Orlando; KCBS-TV/Los Angeles; Beaumont Enterprise; CBC/Hamilton; East Niagara Post, Lockport)
