Here's an instructive story about a 19-year-old who started a successful bone broth company -- bone broth is a hot trendy superfood for recovery from knee injuries, spurred by Kobe Bryant's use of the stuff -- by first selling it online before he even knew how to make it. Why did he do that? Not to rip people off -- he didn't take their money -- but to gauge potential sales. So he used SEO tactics to get people to click, proved that there was a market for it, and THEN went to find suppliers and packagers and advice from Mark Cuban. Now, it's a real company with a real product and real sales. That's pretty smart. What business did YOU create at that age? Didn't think so. (Philadelphia Magazine)
