That's An Expensive Stand To Take. Also, A Discriminatory One

The Oregon Court of Appeals has upheld a $400,000 verdict against the bar owner who asked a transgender group not to come to the bar anymore. He said it was because of their behavior, but the voice mails he left point to his just not wanting to give off "that image" to other potential customers. Which raises the question: If you walk into a bar and there's a bunch of people you can tell are transgendered there, would you assume it's a bar for them or a gay bar or something? That's clearly the fear, but, really, in 2015, he, and other patrons, should be cooler about that. Would have saved him a lot of trouble and money. (The Oregonian)
